“Whether Contador has something to hide or not, I’m sorry, but it takes a fool to think that refusing to answer questions about doping is a smart PR move. Or to think that it’s the best way to nip such scrutiny in the bud. A fool or just someone who was born yesterday and not, as Contador’s birth certificate states, long before Festina or Operacion Puerto or any of the other scandals that have brought professional cycling to its knees over the past decade.“

I am going to give Contador the benefit of the doubt and say that he is a rider more comfortable letting his legs do the talking than facing journalists at a press conference.
Still, dropping Lance in the Pyrenees, dropping Kloden at Verbier and pushing him off the podium in the process, and now stonewalling some reasonable, if pointed, questions; none of these moves are going to help him much in the peloton or the press.
Love your yellow, pink and gold-jerseyed accomplishments, Alberto. Now go get yourself some PR training.
