tedr: San Francisco considering “Pods in the Sky” people mover to reduce congestion. Personally I think the city could better benefit from elevated bike and pedestrian lanes. Neato.  This looks like a crazy thing I saw once going straight up a mountain called a chairlift or something like that. Though I ride my bike everywhere in SF, i’m not really with you about the bike lanes, @tedr. It’s one thing to repurpose old elevated rail tracks, but building paved surfaces off the ground is a whole ‘nother story.  Seems way uglier and more expensive to me. OTOH my 5 person family wouldn’t fit in one of these cars.  How many dogs would one carry?
